The Black Mamba combines features from the Volquartsen Scorpion 22 LR Target Pistol along with the push-button takedown functionality of the Ruger® MK IV™ frame.

The new Mamba-X and Mamba-TFX pistol configurations utilize Volquartsen's new LLV-4X upper which has multiple hole mounting locations allowing for a variety of popular red dots to be mounted directly to the top of the upper.

The LLV-4X Upper will also be available as a stand-alone product and is compatible with both the Volquartsen Competition Bolt as well as the Ruger® MK IV™ factory bolt.

Competition shooters are always looking for that "little something" that will save even a fraction of a second. The Black Mamba-X and its multiple hole mounting locations will do just that.

Keeping the red dot mounted as low to the bore-axis as possible makes for faster sight acquisition and there is no better way to do that than to mount the red dot directly to the upper. The Black Mamba-X is built using our LLV-4X 4.5" Competition Upper that features an integrally machined universal red dot mount.

The Black Mamba-X is a competition ready ready pistol in a push-button takedown configuration. Nothing strikes with the speed and agility of the Black Mamba. It combines features from the Volquartsen Scorpion 22 LR Target Pistol along with the push-button takedown functionality of the Ruger® MK IV™ 22/45 frame.

The Black Mamba-X comes standard with:

  • A ½ x 28 threaded stainless steel 4.5” barrel with stainless steel laser-hardened breech within a type III hard anodized aluminum shroud

  • Volquartsen Accurizing Kit for a 2.25 lb trigger pull

  • DLC coated Volquartsen Competition Bolt

  • Volquartsen Single-Port Compensator
